It has been a very busy year as we prepared to release 6 songs off our full album of 12 for the year 2025. Music makers are communicators, so when a song resonates with an audience it is the on the top 10 of a songwriter, and musicians “ best” list.
Mirage was the very first co-write between Carla and Rick. Rick asked Carla to put lyrics and a melody line to a song he had composed that was just hanging around in his tool box. It took about 2 years to convince her she could muster it. The song has been travelling world wide on radio stations and is receiving positive feedback.
There are many reasons why we feel Mirage is special, but for the songwriters, it was their first co-write together since starting Engage in 2021. The band has gone through many changes since its inception, and now settles in with the right crew to do what songwriters do best- write and develop and showcase their pieces of audio art.
We are very excited to be recognized by the Josie Awards for the first time. It encourages us to keep doing what we love to do, and that there is an audience out there that likes what we do. Thank you to all the radio stations that are spinning our music. And special thanks goes out to Jim Zolis who mixes and masters our work. He's a gem! Thank you to those who support our work! Sandra Chacon who has been our US promoter since Carla had a solo career. She knows her stuff. Thanks to our radio promoter Yvonne (Last Tango Productions) for getting our tracks to radio throughout the world; to Eric Alper who believed in us from day one and is on call as our Canadian Publicist. Thank you Whiskey and Cigarettes for promoting Engage.
We also want to thank ObsidianPR UK for promoting Guitar Strings
It is an honor to be working with all of you. To those who sought us out THANK YOU for becoming part of the Engage Team. We wish we could be with our ISSA friends this weekend in Atlanta Georgia for the ISSA awards. We know it will be an awesome event. If anyone wants to sponsor trips to these events for at least one of us that would be so cool! “wink wink” Thank you again. Lets “Make it So!”
